So there is much talk of a “double dip” recession taking hold. The thing is, from my perspective there is no “double” dip. Aside from the stock markets, where the big banks, have poured government created fake money, I have seen no general rise in the economy. Housing is down and continues to head down. More people are out of work each month. Additionally I am the purchaser of food for my family and I can tell you that the cost of eating is rising. And now, as the dollar continues to weaken, fuel prices are also rising, which will put more pressure on food prices this summer.
1 in 8 adults in this country is on food stamps. One in 4 children is on food stamps. There are no soup lines because the soup lines are virtual now. Go to Wal-Mart on the 1st of the month when the food stamp cards are replenished and see the lines of people queuing for groceries, at midnight.
