Fla. minister: Sept. 11 Quran burn still planned

Burning any book is just distasteful. I don't care what the book is.

But the attention this guy is getting is just ridiculous. The church has 50 people in it. This is no mass movement. But the White House and General Petraeus are weighing in on this guy's stunt? Why?

People do all kinds of nutty inflammatory (in this case literally) stuff every day but they don't have CNN covering it. This should be a non-story. Or at least a very small story.

Of course I'm posting about it.

The leader of a small Florida church that espouses anti-Islam philosophy said Wednesday he was determined to go through with his plan to burn copies of the Quran on Sept. 11, despite pressure from the White House, religious leaders and others to call it off.

"We are still determined to it, yes," the Rev. Terry Jones told the CBS Early Show.
